Why choose me as your editor?

I have over a decade of experience in independent publishing and working with small traditional presses.

Since 2019, I’ve worked with an independent editing house where I perform full manuscript critiques, developmental edits, and beta reads offering suggestions to writers on character development, story arc, tone, pacing, and next step editorial recommendations.  

Relevant coursework includes Fiction Writing 101 from The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis in addition to Berkeley Professional Editing Sequence Grammar, Mechanics, and Usage for Editors.

I am very comfortable working with the following genres: general fiction, commercial or book club fiction, mysteries, thrillers, suspense, historical, romance, speculative, or science fiction. I am not a good fit for fantasy, experimental, poetry, non-fiction, political, military, or erotica.
